Permissions configuration

With the initial installation process Channels mobile application will ask you for the following permissions:
- to record audio,
- to access your local contacts list,
- to make and manage phone calls.

 

Recording audio is essential to capture your voice for the calls. Without it your clients will not hear you! Accessing your contacts list will allow for quick dialing of your locally saved numbers with one tap within Channels app.

Adding Channels as a calling account will allow our app to use your native dialer. What it means is that calls will be handled within your familiar android dialer and incoming calls will be much easier to answer! They will present as any other incoming call with a description of who the calling person is and which of your Channels numbers they try to reach. We highly recommend using those settings for the most convenient experience. You can always opt out and use Channels app dialer instead!
